Frequently asked questions

Does hiding a column delete the data?

No. Hidden columns retain all data, formulas, and formatting. They are simply not displayed in the current view.

Can other users see columns I've hidden?

Yes. Hiding columns only affects your personal view. Other users see their own column visibility settings unless you publish a specific report or dashboard view.

Is there a keyboard shortcut to hide columns?

Smartsheet does not provide a native keyboard shortcut for hiding columns. Grid Tools adds keyboard-driven column management for faster workflows.
